hi.

i am using a thinkpad t61 (which has a nvidia graphics driver --and i am using the driver but i don't have desktop effects turned on).
i am pretty stoked about the new unity interface for une and am trying to install in.

i have tried 2 thing:
1. i upgraded from 10.04 to 10.10 (amd64) then attempted to install ubuntu-unity and run it (restarting then choosing une in at the login screen)
when i do this i get my desktop wallpaper for a second then it goes to a black screen with pointer spinning away. it doesn't seem to ever go out of this and i have to press the power button to turn the computer off.

2. i ran the une from a flashdrive. it loaded reasonably well but when it was about to load the desktop it popped up a notification (without a border) saying: "no required driver detected for unity"

is there some way that i can get it to work on my laptop?
