GLX problems?

When I try opening almost any program, it outputs either


Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".

or


OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display: :0.0

or


XServer appears to lack required GLX support

Obviously it has something to do with GLX... but I have no idea what to do.

I'm not sure if this is in the right category.

EDIT: If it matters, I'm using 10.04.
