Hi all,

I have a lengthy list of problems so please bear with me! I currently have Windows 7 installed on my PC and I was looking to also run Ubuntu 10.10. I downloaded the .iso and created a boot cd. I believe I made it correctly (I made sure I burned an image and not a data dvd and I also burned it at the lowest speed), but it did not work. I got an error which said something like 'no file system detected'. Next I tried using a thumb drive and I got further, but after I chose which partition of the hard drive to install on the installation would spontaneously quit. Finally I decided just to install within windows using the provided executable which worked, but the partition it chose to install onto was a very small root partition and I only have 150 MB of remaining space. Is there any way I can resize this partition to make it larger without having to reinstall?

tldr- How do I resize a root partition?
