Well, I've never used Ubuntu or any Linux distribution, except the 10.04 live disc, which I never installed. I don't have any partitions on my hard drive, and, since I am not an administrator, do not have permissions to run a disc partitioning program.
My main question, I suppose, is this: How can I use Ubuntu 10.10 (I have the 64-bit ISO) without having administrator privileges and without overwriting my existing OS?
PS: I know most of you are probably saying "Well, why don't you just ask your admin?" I've got an interesting situation, because my dad is admin, and he works for Microsoft, so he wants me to use the Windows, won't install Linux.
