I just read that Ubuntu is dropping KDE (http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/4346)!
Personally, I dont use KDE but I cant wait for unity!!!

Canonical support Kubuntu. Ubuntu has nothing to do with it other that you can install KDE if you wish.

[Note: fear not, the headline is ironic. I changed the branding in the X session file to match the new KDE branding where KDE is the community and Plasma is the desktop.]
