I'm trying to run Ubuntu 10.10 off my LCD TV but my NVidia Graphics drivers won't detect the screen correctly and the best I can get it to show the screen as is 1024x768, what I want it in is 1280x1024. I know the screen can handle that as Win7 runs at that fine on the TV. And I know the Ubuntu drivers are capable of it as thats what it runs at on the CRT when I'm using that. But for some reason when I connect it to the TV, it won't detect it correctly.
Is there some way that I can safely override it to show at 1280x1024 on the TV?
