Hi,
I have an external hard drive (1 TB, EXT4) that was at one point working perfectly. One day it suddenly decide it would no longer mount. It turns on and the drive spools up normally, but if I try to mount it manually it tells me it is not formatted. Uh-oh, what to do? After reading the fsck man-pages, I can't tell if this will help, or how to use it. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Have you had a look at testdisk?

Just to be sure, can I assume the partition table I'm using is going to be Intel/PC?
