View Full Version : [ubuntu] MSI Wind U135DX - Max external res of 1366x768... help please

Hi guys. I am not up to speed with the current method of manually changing resolutions in Ubuntu, and if you're going to tell me how to do it, you'll need to explain EVERYTHING, verbatim, from start to finish please.

What I own is an MSI Wind "U135DX" NetBook, and the maximum external resolution I can get using 32 bit Maverick is 1366x768 - hardly ideal, when my external Dell 2001FP (this is a 4:3 screen btw) runs @ 1600x1200 @ 60Hz.

Would someone be so kind as to tell me how to improve the situation, so I can get higher than what I am getting now?

Thanks :)

I am thinking if to buy an MSI U135DX with either Atom N455 1.66GHz or Atom N550 1.5GHz, but not sure here someone already have installed latest Ubuntu successfully?

Does your U135DX come with N455 or N550?

Thanks a lot.:)

I'm also considering to buy this one. Did you manage to install the latest Ubuntu on it ? How well does it work ?
