It's a bit late, but I just spotted this humorous competition (https://spideroak.com/blog/20100920121308-who-would-win-in-a-struggle-between-all-the-mac-os-x-cats-and-all-the-linux-animals) on SpiderOak's website.

Cute. I wish they'd posted it here!

I hate to say this but I'd have to say the cats would win. If only previous versions of Ubuntu had elephant and hippo in the name.

We just need to wait until April when we get a Narwhal on our side. Those weigh well over a ton.

That's one heck of an anchor for tug-o-war!

But they'll get a lion soon. The lion will scare the Ubuntu animals with his roar, making them lose grip on the rope and run away in panic.

Easy win for OSX :D

Hey, they forgot the Yast Aardvark! And Mono Monkey (oh wait, it's cross platform so it can't take sides, just like the Firefox Red Panda, Thunderbird and SeaMonkey).

You don't want to know. Narwhals can be indiscriminate in battle :) .

Off the top of my head, Puppy Linux and Yellow Dog get pups, aptosid gets their scorpion named Fred, Slitaz gets a spider, Pardus (fixed that for you, cascade9) gets a leopard, Wolvix gets a wolf, and maybe Sabayon gets a hen (I think their logo is a hen's foot).

I cant believe I forgot the aptosid scorpion, since I use aptosid a lot. In my defence, I never leave the login screen or desktop 'stock' so I dont see the scorpion often. (not that aptosid had the scorpion on the desktop when I installed, it was the aptosid 'putting on lipstick while in a car chase' wallpaper)

Change the rope for strings and Microsoft win hands down for pulling them.
