Hi,
I have a fresh install of 10.04 which completely drains my battery. I have a Thinkpad T500 which only gets around 2 hours battery time (Windows Vista gives me 6 hours).
So I read this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1515186&page=2) thread that a solution could be to
Fresh install
Custom kernel
Intel video
So what to do here :) I have no experience with this so I need some guidance. I have just installed 10.04 i386 so I guess the "fresh install" thing is done?
Then how to do "Custom kernel" and what customizations must I do to get this laptop down to 11 watts as Vista use?
Finally - how do I choose Intel video (My laptop only has the GM45 chipset and not the ATI so perhaps that issue isn't something to choose?)
Thanks...
