Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me with looking for a good ubuntu-compatible laptop. Ive been lookin in newegg and Ive found a few that look interesting:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115855
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834146852

Basically what Id like is a 15 inch screen laptop with 4 GB of ram (2 gb would be ok if memory upgrade after-the-fact wasnt too bad), 500 gb hard drive (maybe less if replaceable- probably take it to frys or something) and a dedicated graphics card. As far as the graphics card goes, nothing too fancy, just something I could use to play ET:QW or Quake 4 at reasonable settings and framerate. Was also wondering how the drivers were for those graphics cards. I suppose the highest Im wanting to pay is probably around $900.

Not sure if this is asking too much but thanks if you can help.

Check out this webpage:
http://linuxhcl.com/
You can browse by manufacturer, compatibility with different linux-distributions, etc.

Here's a list of notebook PCs that work out of the box with Ubuntu (according to the webpage):
