can't use network connection

i try to install edubuntu 10.10 but when after installed i can't
use internet . why it not same ubuntu on ubuntu i can use internet.
i try to add network connection same on ubuntu i use same Mac address and choose automatic but it's can't connect to net.
please guide me how i can do ?

I had a similar problem not so long ago on proper ubuntu, I think my problem was caused by the (default) keyring thing.
