Hi
after a short running time my graphics break up badly usually from 20 min or so. After the upgrade from Karmic to Lucid . The mouse curser still works and you can click on the screen, but the image is very distorted with moving lines running across the screen. If I can guess where to click the laptop can be shut down properly. The machine can be re-started immediately with a clear screen. So I don't think it is an overheating problem. I can't isolate an event that triggers it. The battery is in bad condition 24% capacity)but I run it all the time on AC power. Everything worked just fine in Karmic. Also the laptop will not display on a 2nd screen. I have detailed this elsewhere on the forum under "hardware".
