Hello Ubuntu Community,

I have a PC that is running ubuntu 10.10 via wubi and is not connected to the web.
So my question is, is there a way to enable the desktop effects offline?

Thanks,
GK.Design

Hi and welcome, If you could give us a little more information on your system that may help.
The model of the graphics card?
You may use the command in the terminal

lspci | grep VGA
The terminal is located under applications, accessories. Then copy and paste the command and output. :)

Hi and you will most likely have to enable the nvidia drivers. This will require a net connection. :)
