View Full Version : [ubuntu] Mount and RUN Windows Vista OEM iso

I am running ubuntu on my system. I would like to know how to mount the iso and run the iso without burning the iso onto a CD. I would but i have a CD not a DVD so you see why I am wanting to mount the VistA ISO and install vista on my computer throught ubuntu. Thank you. please help.

you can try a virtual machine like oracle virtual box or vmware.

I think you want to use virtualbox, this will install Vista in Ubuntu:



sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose


If you want USB support, you'll have to install the virtualbox version from the oracle website.

If you want to install Vista next to Ubuntu, you need to burn it.
