Hello all together!

I am new in the Ubuntucommunity :-)
Great system - great Support so far, thanks for the opportunity of quiting windows ;-)

I got 2 Notebooks:
A Thinkpad T60, and a Thinkpad T500.

I installed Ubuntu 10.10 so far on the T60, an installed lots of programms.

Now i want to just "copy" this installation to the T500 Notebook.
Is this possible?
Is there a solution for this?

Like: create a medium (usb-drive) with the complete installation + settings + programms, and just put this medium into the other Laptop, which than starts ne normal installationdialog of ubuntu 10.10.

That would be first class :-D

Is there any solution like this?
Is there a Problem then with different drivers?

My t60 got an intel grafic chip, and the T500 got an ATI...

Thanks for you help and sorry for my bad english ;-)

clonezilla (http://clonezilla.org/) ?

another alternative would be a markings list

Remastersys lets you create an installable CD/DVD.

More here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1604422

Simple and effective.
