When installing ubuntu. Why is it that flash and ubuntu-restricted-extras arnt installed as default. Everybody uses it anyways, so why isint it included?

Simply put, it's down to licensing issues, particularly when it comes to the MP3 codecs.

I believe the reason flash isn't is because it's a closed source product, and some people won't use it because of that.
