Mind Map Desktop Environment

I've been searching for days for this and I am starting to think I will have to develop it myself.

An alternative DE (Desktop Environment) to KDE, Gnome, etc that looks and acts like a mindmap Similar to the Personal Brain Software.. No menubars, just the bare minimum needed Ie: shutdown button.

I have used PersonalBrain on my ******* box in exactly this way, the system boots, and the PB(Personal Brain) loads. the underlying desktop cannot be seen and I can access everything on my 'puter from the Mind Map.

I would like to use a similar interface on linux but as the actual DE, not over the top of an existing DE.

Any help would be appreciated.

Nice to see that my idea can generate some interest out there. I was told that 'Elive' once had a DE similar to what I have described, but I am yet to find it.

The Search Continues on....And the more I search the more I am thinking that I will have to program it myself or pay someone to program it for me.

This is a Revolution in DE and needs to be explored and developed further

That is where I got the Idea for the Desktop.

The only difference between theBrain and my idea is that the brain is an application running on an existing desktop, Whereas what I want to do is have the brain AS the desktop.

This is exactly what I just went looking for. I was hoping to find that there's something which already works but I have hope for the future and would use this.
Could a Nautilus or other file manager plugin work?

The company that produces Personal brain has a version available for Linux. I am trying it out right now. I might have to look for alternatives, as their pricing is outrageous. Other than that, I quite like the software.
