When you type ubuntu into facebook search, it's the first that shows. Of course it would be popular.

lol, I only have a facebook account for promos and junk. I don't actually friend anyone.

I seem to like the one I linked to. But I see many that use it asking for help when they should be coming to the forum. When I see this I try to direct them here. I think it is OK for chatting back and forth and making comments. Kinda like the community part of this forum.
