Yeah, I'd rather have stuff like Kitsu Saga, Angels Online, etc. working in Linux.

Oh wait, they do: http://www.winehq.org

Hi

Vendetta Online is not really needed in the software center the native download works perfectly

I just downloaded to my home folder, right click and make it executable.
Then click on it and let it install the bin folder on its own.

Then you can create a link and drag that to your desktop and BOOM

Your playing Vendetta Online

Work on just about every linux / ubuntu and 10.10 works even better.
Really smooth game play

Although you would think it's a game you just pop in and start shooting stuff which is partially true, however it takes some time to learn to fly well.
And takes time to learn about the features because of the various things you can do in vendetta.

Fight close combat against other player, or robots etc.
Mining
Trading and Space deliveries.

Each task requires it's own set of skills and as you obtain these skills you get licenses for better equipment etc.

That's the short version, but to anyone who has not played it.
If you take the time to learn play and of course pay for a few months of fun, then you will be addicted to it as many have been.

Go ahead and pay for your 1 month so you can really get the feel of it. There is a fee 8hr trial but that's not even really getting a feel for things; and if you don't like it then stop playing it.
Only costs you $9 bucks for a month of fun.

And OH ! did I mention this is the most fun in close combat flight that I have ever played.

Nice

I see it in the Applications/Ubuntu Software Center

I hope people would try this game and subscribe for at least a month to see how it is.

It's a big game and the trial period is a little short in my opinion to really see and get into some of the activities that I know many will enjoy.

And the more players the more fun

I quite enjoyed Vendetta, I flirted with it after the old EVE scandals of yonder year when I wanted a new space game. It was good fun.
