Gah.

Installed the RC of 10.10, (using Wubi, sorry,) and it worked lovely.

Went on holiday for a few days.

Updated when I came back, now selecting Ubuntu from the boot screen just restarts my PC, taking it back to the boot screen. That's all I can give you, I'm afraid.

Any ideas?

Between the RC and the updates? That doesn't sound right. (But then my RC 10.10 was broken already). So, maybe you've been affected by the wubi bug that's been corrupting wubildr (or regenerating a bad one to be more precise).

So try this fix - or if that doesn't work there's another workaround there:
