I'm trying to get the drivers for an Atom laptop's wireless card to work. (Not sure of the exact model. I can't work it out; it was bought from a clothes shop (don't ask...not my laptop)).

The wireless card is a RaLink RT3090. I downloaded a .deb from:
http://stat.case.edu/~jrt32/how_to_build_rt3090_for_ubuntu_lucid/rt3090-dkms_2.3.1.4-0ubuntu0~ppa1_all.deb (http://stat.case.edu/%7Ejrt32/how_to_build_rt3090_for_ubuntu_lucid/rt3090-dkms_2.3.1.4-0ubuntu0%7Eppa1_all.deb)

And apparently, all I need to do is install it, reboot and then I'm away. But when I use Package Installer, it merely comes up with:

Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: dkmsI'm still pretty new to the world of Linux and this has gone straight over my head. I've done some searching, but all the solutions I find seem to be specific to other drivers for other cards. (Or too jargon filled for me to comprehend.)

Also, on a side note, if no one can help me with this, would anyone be able to try and explain me how to compile and install drivers? Because if I remember rightly, RaLink have the raw driver files on their site.

Any help would be great, thank you.
