I've installed "Simple Backup Config" and backed up my $home directory to a separate NTFS partition. The only real important items I need are my email info/addresses and mozilla links/settings. After doing a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.10, will I be able to use "Simple Backup Restore" to replace the $home files - or will it just be a mess? Is there an easier way?

I guess the easiest way is to export your e-mail address list and browser bookmarks as flat files and store them on your NTFS partition while installing 10.10. You don't need a backup program for this.

Thanks. Everything went pretty good. Although I backed up my .thunderbird folder and tried to import it into Evolution. That didn't work to well. No big loss. Just had to copy and paste a bunch of email addresses.
