Encoutered a strange phenom.

to reproduce :

go to System -> Administration and select Users and Groups.
Click the "Click to change" Button
Enter your password
Click the "manage groups" button
click the "Add Group" Button
Enter a group name
Select a user to be a member of that group.
Click Close
Click Close on the parent window.

go back into the manage group window and try and find your new group.

It's not there or at least it wasn't there for me.

The workaround I used was to create the group and then select the group and click the "Properties" button and then add users to that group. However the interface clearly indicates that one might be able to do this in one step.

I apologize if this is covered already. I figured it might.. but hey you never know.

Thanks,
Cheruvim

Sorry... some important deatils:

Ubuntu: You are using Ubuntu 9.10
- the Karmic Koala - released in October 2009 and supported until April 2011.

This is on an Intel Pent 4 2.4 Ghz with 1.5 Gigs RAM.
