Hi all,
First of all, I have to say that I have never personally encountered a Linux distribution community that is so user-friendly and helpful. ;-)
I've been playing around with Linux, on and off, for a few years now - Nothing too complicated, always on an "older" second machine, emulator or second partition.
Never actually REPLACING Windows.
Ever since learning of Ubuntu I was itching to try and do something dangerous - Ditch Windows altogather, and try using Linux as my main desktop OS.
Moreover, I've decided to make a little online journal of this experience.
This can be pretty cool for a few reasons:
1. First off, I think my journal is interesting.. ;-)
2. People new to Linux, or Ubuntu, might pick-up intersting tips, links and solutions I have encountered.
3. Visitors can actually suggest solutions to problems I've encountered...
That's it, you are all invited to read the two first episodes, and please feel free commenting:
So I've decided to switch to Linux. Episode 1: Introduction (http://www.avidardik.com/2005/02/13/so-ive-decided-to-switch-to-linux-episode-1-introduction/)
So I've decided to switch to Linux. Episode 2: Saying goodbye to Windows (http://www.avidardik.com/2005/02/14/so-ive-decided-to-switch-to-linux-episode-2-saying-goodbye-to-windows/)
Hope you enjoy it..!
