View Full Version : [ubuntu] Gave up waiting for root device?

First of all, Hello ubuntu forums, I am a new user of ubuntu as of today and new to the forums aswell. Please be kind :)

Today I tried to install ubuntu netbook remix 10.10 on my new nb200 netbook so I could dual boot alongside win7.

I made my live usb, booted from it and installed just fine but when I tried to restart and boot into ubuntu I hit a problem. I am greeted with a message saying "Gave up waiting for root device. Common problems:" and then some other stuff.

I searched google about it and found this thread:

and took it's advice to use this:

to help diagnose the problem, I have the output but no idea where to go from here. Here's what I got anyway:

What can I do to get ubuntu working?
