I have a manual install of Java from the Sun website on my machine and have uninstalled icedtea and openjdk so I untick updates for these. Recently, however, I have been prompted to install sun-java6-bin, sun-java6-fonts, sun-java6-jre and sun-java6-plugin from Canonical. Should I run these updates, or will they perhaps break my manual install?
