Hi everyone,

I'm trying to dual boot a Win7 Pro laptop with Ubuntu 10.10, and once I boot up into the installer off the CD, I do not seem to get the nice "install alongside other operating system" option.

Anyone have any ideas why this is? Anyway I can get this option to appear?

I'm running a HP Pavilion Dv6 notebook, AMD Phenom II Quad CPU, 4GB of DDR3, Windows 7 Pro 64bit OS.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Should be there, 10.10 is a different install process but I sure believe I saw install side by side: install on whole disk: manual install:

I think this is due to no free space, I'm going to try to use Gparted to maybe re-size and delete the useless recovery partitions that I have on this system.

I'll see how it goes, hopefully I won't kill my Win7 Pro.
