Hi,a ll!

I've just done an a lmost successful upgrade to 10.10 , but on re-boot, my X is broken and my monitor says 'out of range'.

Using CTL+ALT F1, I do lspci and note that my graphics card is a ATI RV610 [Radeon HD 2400 PRO].

When I do lsmod, it looks like the Radeon driver is loaded.

Has something changed with regard to how X sees my video card, for this new release?

I'm guessing the driver has changed and I need to apt-get a different one.

Can anyone help?

Cheers,

Chris.

Guys,

I've removed my graphics card and am now going to use the onboard chip. My installation now boots, but when it gets to presenting the log-in screen, I still get the 'out of range' message from my monitor.

Can I get X to reconfigure, so that it looks for my new set-up?

In the old days I would have run
dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorgbut I don't think that works these days. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Chris.
