View Full Version : [gnome] pull down menus not being erased as you retract?

Installed 10.10 a week ago, and although I can't yet find a good reproducable example, I've now had several times where a pull down menu doesn't disappear as you retract the mouse from that menu, and decided not to want to go there. It then becomes torn off, sticky in X, and accross all desktops. Very persistent, console or desktop switching doesn't work.
The only way I seem to be able to erase it (killing the parent also worked) is to re-do the pulldown menu so it overlaps again and retracting it. But not 100% succcess, and killing the parent window then did the trick.

But this is become a serious handycap for desktop use.

I am not sure if this only happened after I installed the NVidia driver. This is on a T61p thinkpad laptop, if that mattered.
I use Gnome, it's clear that the problem are with gtk windows, something like picasa doesn't seem to do it.
