It appears the forcing of people to use OpenJDK an the fact OpenJDK incorrectly identifies itself as SUN-JAVA is really taking a toll on applications. OpenOffice is simply tragic. You cannot even begin to install extensions which installed and worked under 10.04 as long as you actually had SUN-JAVA installed. Everything fails with Java and Uno errors.

OpenOffice.org 3.2.1
OOO320m19 (Build:9505)
ooo-build 3.2.1.4, Ubuntu package 1:3.2.1-7ubuntu1

The most critical extensions of Sun Weblog publisher and Language Tool simply fail to install.

Hi,
You can remove openjdk by removing openjdk-6-jre and icedtea6-plugin.

You can then install Sun Java6 through Software Center and Synaptic Package Manager, but first you have to enable the 'Canonical Partner' repositories.

When you are in the Software Center, go to the Edit menu, then click on Software Sources, then click on the Other Software tab, then enable 'Canonical Partners'. When it is finished loading the extra repository, then you can search for 'sun-java6-jre' and 'sun-java6-plugin'
