View Full Version : [ubuntu] Display issues with Maverick and Emacs

I'm getting some weird display effects on Emacs. Essentially the text appears to display on top of other text, resulting in a largely unreadable display.

I've attached an example. The word in the buffer is "Here" but really doesn't look like it. As I am an emacs-aholic, this is a pretty significant problem for me.

The problem goes away with a redraw, but then will occur again when I start typing.

I also have this problem. Have you found a solution?

I've got the same problem. Choosing different fonts doesn't help.

A similar problem was reported here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/emacs23/+bug/674488 in last November. I only last week upgraded to Maverick and I notice the same behaviour (with dual head setup).

Does anyone have a solution for this? This bug seems to have been forgotten.

I have this issue too... seems only to be an issue with dual head setup... b'ah humbug!
Haven't had any luck in finding a solution yet either.

Just a quick update... I am now running 11.04 (with desktop effects disabled) and I am no longer having this issue.
