On my most recent install of ubuntu 10.10 I forgot to check the box to install 3rd party software. No big deal I could just do a clean install and start again but wondering anyway if anyone knows what is in there. Or if there is an easy way to install the same stuff after the fact?

Sure, just Open ubuntu software center, search for Ubuntu restricted extras. I think it will prompt you to enable the 3rd party software repositoty. Scroll down and see the add-ons you missed (flash, java, codecs, fonts etc). Just select the ones you want (probably all)

I didn't realize that "3rd party software" on the install page is the same as ubuntu-restricted-extras. Thanks

Just for the record I do not think the checkbox on install of 3rd party software is the same as the ubuntu restricted extras package. I found this out by reinstalling and clicking the checkbox then go and install ubuntu restricted extras and it definitely added some more things.
