I just downloaded and installed Xubuntu on an older machine that I Have that was already running Windows XP. During installation, I told it I wanted to share the drive (dual boot, whatever it's called), and it divided the drive into almost half, giving half to Xubuntu and half to WinXP. Everything seemed to be fine until I booted to the hard drive. I was expecting a menu that asked me which OS I wanted to use, but got the error, "error: out of disk. grub rescue>". I did a search all over the place, but none of the commands that anyone lists work, they all return an error (something like "not a command" or something). The only one that works is "ls", which returns a list of apparently partitions.

I can still boot to the Xubuntu CD, but not sure what to do after that. I'm pretty new to Linux.

Thanks,
Jesse
