Rotary International have different Action Groups and Fellowships.
I think we could use a Rotarian Linux Users group.

I think it could be good for Rotary people and good for Linux.

EVERYBODY can help and is welcome to bring ideas and comment about Linux/Ubuntu from a humanitarian point of view to: http://rolius.wordpress.com

Here you also can read an article from The Rotarian about "Computer users find alternatives to high-priced commercial software".

Yes - there is plenty of social and humanitarian angles to Linux (maybe the Ubuntu idea especially)

Sorry I'm not a Rotarian. But I am a Freemason. Which is one of the largest giver's to charity in the world as a single organisation. So I can see where you are coming from.

Have you tried starting up a Ubuntu social group.

Aren't the Freemasons usually more discrete?
I don't know any, but I thought that they had that reputation.

Cheers

They overthrow the existing Aristocracy and replace it with themselves and their supporters (http://www.rapidnet.com/~jbeard/bdm/Psychology/mashist.htm).

They generally are in business settings, to avoid accusations of nepotism. Speaking from one experience I had in the military, it was a bit awkward when it came to light that the guy formally in charge was outranked Masonically by his favored subordinate.
