I am planning to install ubuntu 10.10 in my computer lab at my school. I have been able to do it successfully using these instructions...:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/WindowsServerNetboot

...using a Windows machine. But the client machine has to connect to the Internet to download all of the packages. Can someone help me modify the instructions so that I can install all of the packages from the server without having to access the Internet?

Ideally, i would like to create my own image with all of the packages that I want (with remastersys) and use that image on all of the other machines.

And i guess this might belong in another thread but i would like to have a local repository on my network to install updates so I don't have to have every machine downloading the same files from the Internet.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? (I am open to doing this from an Ubuntu box instead of Windows but I found the instructions for the Windows way a lot easier to understand.)

Thanks in advance for any assistance...
