Was exactly what I thought but then again they don't have the exclusive rights on the word apple.

Nope. What they do have is a trademark. So if the site is about Apple computers then they would have a leg to stand on. Given the page that loads it looks like the Apple Dev team is who made the site.

Though it appears to not be that person given the whois information.
