Hello everyone,
i've been trying to install nvidia drivers for my 9600gt in 10.10 but after installing I can't restart gdm again
i did the following commands at the virtual terminal (of course stopping gdm before this)
sudo apt-get --purge remove xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
sudo apt-get --purge remove nvidia-*
then rebooted, stopped gdm again, then i installed the driver from nvidia (the *.run file).. everything went normal and i rebooted my machine
after that, gnome wont start anymore
typing
sudo nvidia-xconf also doesn't work.. it says command not found..
