10.10 Install Issues

Hi Guys

I'm having a issue with install 10.10 on my machine

When I try with cd/usb I get the first part which is purple but then one of two issues happen

I get a blank screen or I get a black screen with the curser and thats it

Just wondering if you guys have seen this before

BTW this happens on both x32 or x64 doesnt make any diff

Fatality mobo, 775 Intel 2.46ghz, 6GB ram and Nvidia 260 GTX

I have Mint running on it so I know there are no issues with the hardware

Try waiting some more time. I would suggest you use the alternate installer (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation#Installation%20using%20the%20Alternat e%20CD).

You can try adding the option nomodeset by hitting Enter on the page where you see a man in circle and a keyboard. Press F6 and select nomodeset and continue booting.
