I remember you posted Ubuntu vertex when 10.04 just came out. It is nice for new users possibly. But why don't you simply make a patch script to do this to regular ubuntu rather than make a whole new installer disk!

What is the rational behind this re-master? Or is it just a project that has everything you want installed and don't want removed?

Don't understand why you would add religious software to this. There is already projects for that kind of version of Ubuntu. If this is a time saving thing then that seems unnecessary.

There in NO other distro with my addons specially those of nautilus and nautilus actions ..

it's my work on ubuntu and i wanted to share it with everyone
for the religious software it's an application , you don't like it , just remove it !

the reason not to make a script that make all this that i dont want the beginners to get involved more and more into scripts and terminal actions ,, they want a distro with everything is OK ! ..

I forgot .. this is a CD version I used to make it as a beta version for the dvd one
so if you like this and want to make any comment it will be taken in consideration when remastering the DVD version of vertex..

there will be also a remaster of kubuntu ..

All threads in the cafe die eventually. Instead of bumping this thread like this, why don't you do like all the other remasters and make a web-page. You can use free hosting or a blog hoster if you like.

There in NO other distro with my addons specially those of nautilus and nautilus actions .. New users trying Ubuntu / Kubuntu for the first time are extremely unlikely to find your remaster on the forum and download it. Hint: you can try a webhoster like 000webhost.com.

You know... a script can be run in GUI, by clicking on it. And if you have some programing knowledge, you can easily make a GUI app with buttons like Kubuntu's firefox installer.

I thought about that but I need to know if my work deserves to be published to the world ..

I'm working on it but it will be an alternative for those who don't like to change their distro

Any work in FOSS is appreciated. In general all experienced users will prefer regular Ubuntu/Kubuntu because they will feel safer with a pure canonical product.

Things like themes and apps vary with users choices, so they usually like doing that on their own. So don't expect to get many people leave Ubuntu for your distros.

I am not saying it is impossible to form a better product (the case with PCLOS and Mandriva). However this involves big work and polishing.

"Published to the world"
Including religious software (Even if it can be unistalled) is not advisable for the whole world to appreciate it.

"Multimedia Codecs"
This makes your distro illegal in many countries.

Personally I will not use your distro as I feel safer with canonical and like configuring my systems the way I like. Most/All large corporations will think similarly.

Another thing is that the Kubuntu team intended to make some modifications-not too flashy(just like Ubuntu has) but are limited by cd space and absolutely cannot overwrite default packages.

Dude,
kudos to you. you are making use of the freedom of open source to do something you like. many might not see it's use, but many others will.
I say you go boy (or girl).

I do realize that people like certain things with there installs and for new-to-Ubuntu people may like the 'hassle-free' installs and setup.
What makes your 'ubuntu vertex' much different than 'Pinguy OS' (http://www.pinguyos.com/forum/)? I know yours can fit on a cd as Pinguy OS requires a dvd.
Would be nice if one version of 'simple install and work out-of-box' with all the goodies to make user/newbie persons 'happy'
