Guess I don't know what the prerequisites are for the new netbook edition. I have tried to run it live on several computers, but all I get is the standard Gnome desktop. Are the prerequisites published anywhere?

Guess my question doesn't have enough priority to be worthy of a response. Thanks anyway!

Is compiz enabled? Unity requires compiz.

Hi lwryer,

Your posts has as much right as any other post to be answered... you may however find that because posts are answered by individuals by their own free choice that there are many things you can do to make it more likely somebody would take the time to answer you...

Let's start with obvious things... I assume you where trying to install Ubuntu 10.10 Netbook (http://www.ubuntu.com/netbook) right?

Then, on what PC's have you tried this?

Here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1569926 is also an interesting read on the subject and something that can be tried to get Unity to work...

Neil
