Hi:
I have been trying for the last few hours to install the 10.10 version of ubuntu on my newly bought lenovo thinkcentre M90P 5498.
The PC has already Windows 7 installed.
the installation starts and while copying files it gives a I/O error and freezes.
I tried to install from another CD, but did not work.
I went back and burn the ubuntu 10.04 version; but this one froze before even getting to any screen giving an I/O error.
I tried to install 10.10 from a usb flash drive; it froze again (i/o error).
I am convinced that the problem is a compatibility issue with ubuntu and the hardware (I think it is the Hard disk driver).
Any idea on how to overcome this problem.? or did anybody know about a similar issue?
cheers
