Ubuntu 10.10 still release candidate?

I wanted to upgrade from 10.04 through 'update-manager -d'. But when I red the Release Note it stated "this is a release candidate, don't install it on a production machine. However, all the information I got telling me the the 10.10 is already final. Is it true?

10.10 stable is no longer RC. Stable was released on 10/10/2010.

Did you update your repository information prior to the upgrade? Do


sudo apt-get update

And again start the update manager. What does it say now?

I'd done that too, still the same. Is it just because the developers forget to remove the paragraph, or what?
