Hi,

I have an Intel core 2 DUO and my Kernel is currently Kernel Linux 2.6.35-22-generic.

Is this right for me?

Just to make sure, which version of Ubuntu have you installed? And it is 32-bit or 64-bit?

Apart from those queries, the default kernel is always the right one. You can upgrade to the new one when it is available via apt-get or update manager.

Ubuntu 10.10, not sure if it's 32 or 64 bit. My computer knowledge is next to 0.

uname -a returns Linux posey 2.6.35-22-generic #34-Ubuntu SMP Sun Oct 10 09:24:00 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux
