Comparing that to an iPad is an apples to oranges comparison (pun intended). if you are looking for what is basically a windows netbook, in a tablet form factor, that would fill the bill. But if you are looking for an iPad clone, that isn't it (the biggest shortcoming that device has is battery life).

If you want to connect an ipad to ethernet, all you need is a USB to ethernet adaptor, and a pocket USB hub (or even just a female to female usb coupler).
