I have a reasonably old Advent PC which has been happily running Ubuntu for a number of years. I recently upgraded from 9.10 to 10.10. Before upgrading suspend/resume worked fine, but now when I resume after a suspend the monitor gives a diagnotic message.
Vertical Refresh 39Hz
Horizontal Refresh 37Hz
Allowable range
Vertical Refresh 30-70Hz
Horizontal Refresh 50-70Hz
It seems that the horizontal refresh rate is outside the allowable range, but I never changed any of the defaults and it seems to work OK when I first boot.
Any ideas at where I should look to find a fix?
