After a few unsuccessful trials changing the resolution (NVIDIA card) using this method http://www.linuxreaders.com/2009/11/04/change-ubuntu-9-10-resolution/#ixzz12069MqbV (http://www.linuxreaders.com/2009/11/04/change-ubuntu-9-10-resolution/#ixzz12069MqbV)
I uninstalled the default drivers and installed the ones for Ubuntu 9. After rebooting I can’t log on to the system anymore. After running the Recovery Mode, Repair Broken Packages and Boot Normal again, I get:
“Ubuntu Myname-Desktop tty1;
Myname-Desktop Login: xxxx;
Password: xxxxx
myname@myname-desktop: ~$
What can I do no to log on to the system? I would appreciate very much your help.
Regards,
