Can you install 10.04 over Beta installation?

I have a need on one pc to go back to Lucid. Is there a way to do this without losing all the packages that have been installed? I understand that I can wipe out the previous and start fresh. I know how to deal with my own stored data. thanks,

You can get a list of packages installed in you present 10.10 installation, but I doubt that it will be of much help if you try to use it while installing 10.04. There are probably many packages installed in 10.10 (and hence on your list) which are not in the 10.04 repositories.
