Hello!
I upgraded to 10.10 two days ago, and had a major problem. All of my customizations for the sound and visual themes vanished: sound, metacity, compiz, icons, etc. Everything except my mouse pointer. And even worse, when I tried to fix it, nothing went back to how it had been. I checked and unchecked the sound box about ten times, but the system was still making those annoying clicking sounds. All of my menus, windows, and icons were in the annoying "no theme" boxy brown theme, and none of those changed no matter how much I used the theme manager. It was such an eyesore that I finally restored my backup. But I loved the speed and all in 10.10. Does anybody know what this problem was and how I might upgrade again without this happening?
