Hi, I'm installing Ubuntu for the first time in my laptop, whose O.S is in japanese... this is a FUJITSU, Windows Vista and Core Duo, but I don't know which characteristics are relevant, I would like to know the procedure to get necessary information(drivers are the only ones I think I should get, but I don't know where to get them) to install Ubuntu...thanks!

Boot off a livecd first and make sure that everything works as expected.

I already have the Ubuntu CD, but I tried the trial version...because I think I must already have the drivers first...I don't know where I can get them..or this step is not necessary? (sorry for my english)...thanks!

If everything worked ok when you ran it off the cd, then you should be good to go to install. There really isn't a need to worry about drivers the same way you would in Windows.
